Cairo, Ohio

Clara Jane Lamb, 90, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at Lima Memorial Hospital.  She was born September 21, 1928, in Lima, Ohio to Fred and Georgia (Cowan) Dawson.  They both preceded her in death.

On July 3, 1949, she married Howard W. Lamb, who preceded her in death on May 28, 2006.

Jane is survived by three sons, Richard J. Lamb of Cairo, Rodney W. (Deborah) Lamb and Rex Lamb both of Columbus Grove; two daughters, Diane Lamb and Bonnie Lamb both of Cairo; nine grandchildren, Allen (Christy) Lamb, Travis (Amanda) Lamb, Nate McKenzie, Nichole (Reye) Diffin, Kacy (Shawn) Goetz, William "Bill" Watson, Natalie (Joe) Brant, Holly (Dan) Ackerman and Tyler (Laura) Lamb and 18 great grandchildren, adding two more in 2019.  She is also survived by two brothers, Melvin D. (Marjorie) Dawson of Bluffton and Jack W. Dawson of  Phoenix, AZ.

She is preceded in death by a sister in-law, Carolyn Dawson.

Jane was a graduate of Auglaize Township High School, Harrod.  She was a retired nurse and Alumnus of Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1949.  She was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church, their Bible Study group, and an awesome prayer warrior.  Jane was a member of the LOFF, "Ladies of Fun and Fellowship", Allen County PERI and her Share Group from her Emmaus Walk.  She was an avid sports enthusiast, following The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds and Oakland Raiders.  Jane loved traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will begin at 11:00 am, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Debbie Nance will officiate with burial to follow in Cairo Eastside Cemetery.

Friends may call 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove and Thursday from 10:00-11:00 am, prior to the funeral.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cairo United Methodist Food Pantry.

Jane's Family.
I am shocked to see that Jane has passed. I will miss her so much at Tues. morning Bible study at the Springs. What a great lady. She was an inspiration. She will celebrate her Christmas with her Savior. She did love the Lord.
