Thomas Edwin Maag, 81, died at 4:48 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio. He was born December 2, 1939, in Lima, Ohio to Edwin H. and Luella M. "Dottie" (Joseph) Maag. They both preceded him in death.
Tom had been married to Patricia Maag and she survives along with two sons, Edward (Marilyn) Westhoven and Richard (Jody) Maag; one daughter, Kristi (Rod) Kern; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and his very special friend, Alice Lawson.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel, Patrick and Michael.
Tom was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1957. After graduation he worked for Neon Products, formerly Lima, and drove truck for Wenham Truck Lines, followed by Chester Carey Trucking, Lima and finally the Kenton Quarry, as a material delivery trucker.
He was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a life member of the NRA, liked to go hunting and boating. Tom especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Jim Klausing will officiate with burial at a later time in St. Anthony Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
