Shirley L. (Jameson) Honse

Shirley L. (Jameson) Honse, 90, left this earth for eternal life in heaven at Primrose Retirement Community, Findlay, on Thursday November 4, 2021.  She was born August 23, 1931, to Eugene R. and Blanche L. (Seitz) Jameson.

Shirley married Melvin Jones (deceased), and then married Karl Lutes (deceased) and in 1989, she married the love of her life, Jess Honse, who preceded her in passing in 2015.

Shirley is also survived by her children, Duane (Jan) Jones of Findlay, Brad (Kim) Lutes of Findlay, Annette (fiancé, Steve Kennedy) Black of Michigan; daughter in-law, Rita Jones of Findlay and a step-son, Mike Honse of Elida.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Barbara Frost of Findlay, Colleen Jameson of Napoleon and Donald (Glenna) Jameson of New Braunfels, TX.

She was preceded in passing by her son Paul Jones; granddaughters, April Jones and Tammy Clifford; a brother, Gordon Jameson and a brother in-law, C. Jack Frost.

Shirley graduated from Vaughnsville High School, class of 1949.  She was very talented in sewing and prided herself in making her own patterns.  She had owned a beauty salon, fabric and sewing shop, was a school bus driver and had worked at RCA.  Shirley also enjoyed playing the organ, piano, loved knitting, crocheting and playing BINGO.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Mark Walls officiating.  Burial will follow in Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer.

The family has requested that remembrances may be made in the form of contributions to Ottawa River Church of God, Rimer, in care of Pastor Mark Walls, 19443 Road U, Ft. Jennings, Ohio 45844.
