Shirley E (Guider) Hayden

Lima, Ohio

Shirley E. Hayden, 83, died Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Bridge Hospice, Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.  She was born June 8, 1938, in Lima, to Robert and Donna (Spencer) Guider.

Shirley married the love of her life, Glen Hayden, May 6, 1961.  He survives in Lima, Ohio.  Shirley is also survived by her son, Jerry Hayden and daughter, Diann Hayden Williams.  Other surviving family include a granddaughter, Kaolin (Jeremy) Schumaker;   grandson, Steven Gregory (Katrina) Williams; great grandchildren, Clara and Barrett Williams, Landon Schumaker and great granddaughter Schumaker due in February of 2022.  Shirley is also survived by her sister, Sharon Roof and son in-law, Michael Girmonde.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Michael Hayden, January 13, 2021.

Shirley graduated from Waynesfield-Goshen High School, after which she worked at the Met Bank, Lima.  She later worked at the Vaughnsville Elementary School.  Shirley was a doting grandmother that always attended her grandsons sporting events and her granddaughters, band and sporting events.  She loved her flowers and gardening, camping and boating with her family.  She was a lifelong member of the Vaughnsville United Methodist Church.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Monday October 25, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Tom Brown will officiate with burial to follow in Truro West Cemetery, Columbus Grove.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 24, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
