Shayne Allen Houseworth, 34, died Sunday, July 4, 2021, at his home in Columbus Grove, following a courageous eight-year battle of cancer. He was born January 16, 1987, in Lima, Ohio to Stewart and Cheryl (Horetski) Houseworth. His father and stepmother, Stewart (Lisa) Houseworth and his mother and stepfather, Cheryl (Rusty) Rust all survive.
On June 19, 2008, he married Laura Williams, she survives in Columbus Grove.
Shayne is also survived by his two sons, Brandt and Adrian Houseworth; one brother, Dylan Horetski and his maternal grandmother, Sharon Horetski. Also surviving are his father in-law, Donnie (Tina) Williams; mother in-law, Marie (Carl) Davis; brother in-law, Marcus Williams; sister in-laws, Amy Williams and Annette Williams, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Brandt Horetski.
Shayne was a graduate of Perry High School, Lima, and Apollo Career Center, class of 2005, with a major in Graphic Design, he loved to draw! He was a tattoo artist, and worked at Red Pig Inn, Wal-Mart and PPI.
He was a big fan of the Texas Longhorns and the 49ers. He loved being a husband and father to his two boys. He enjoyed reading books, playing golf, running cross-country, listening to music and “kicking it” with his best friend since kindergarten, Chris Collier. Most of all Shayne, loved spending time with his family.
Please make all memorial donations to the family in care of Ft. Jennings State Bank, Columbus Grove, for the health care of his sons, one of which is non-verbal autistic and the other is a victim of cerebral palsy.
The family would like to especially thank the doctors at The James Cancer Center/OSU Wexler Medical Center, Dr. Bhavana Konda and staff, Dr. Jennifer A. Sipos, Dr. Ehud Mendel, Dr. Dukagjin Blankaj, and is family doctor, Dr. Alisa Marzec.
Funeral services will be held at a later date with Pastor Katie Hayes and John H. Heare officiating.
