Sharon A. Schindler, 82, died on January 24, 2023 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. Sharon was born November 10, 1940 in Cairo, Ohio to Clarence and Pauline (Leatherman) Altstaetter. They both preceded her in death.
On April 8, 1960 she married John Schindler, who survives in Cairo.
Sharon is also survived by her son, Tim Schindler, Columbus Grove, and several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Kenny (Gloria) Altstaetter.
Sharon was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1958. She was also a member of Merwin Rebekah Lodge in Cairo, Ohio. Sharon loved to travel and shop. She was a great cook and baker. She also knitted and crocheted making several Afghans, for family.
A private family service will be held at a later date followed by burial in Altstaetter Cemetery, near Cairo.
