Robert E. Gander II

COLUMBUS GROVE  — Robert E. "Bob" Gander II, age 65, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020, at 4:30 a.m. at his residence in Columbus Grove, Ohio. 

He was born December 4, 1954, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert and Norma (Maxwell) Gander who preceded him.

On November 11, 1978, he married Mary Maag who survives in Columbus Grove.

Bob is survived by his son, Robert "Robby" (Annett) Gander III of Columbus Grove, Ohio; and his daughter Theresa "Terrie" (Eric) Betts of Columbus Grove, Ohio.  Bob is also survived by seven grandchildren: Raven, Vanessa, Kennedy, Austin, Jasmine, Dylon, and Hannah, and one Aunt, JoAnn Gander of Findlay, Ohio.  He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Hailey Betts.

Bob was a graduate of the Columbus Grove High School, Class of 1973.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, working in his shop, and spending time with his family.  Bob is also survived by (man's best friend) Bart, his German Shepherd.

Services will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Klausing officiating. Friends may call from Noon until time of service on Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.  Burial following the service at Truro Cemetery in Columbus Grove.    

"We want everyone to rest assured that if you are in anyway uncomfortable with attending the viewing and/or the funeral due to COVID, we as a family understand."  Due to COVID, facemasks and social distancing will be required for viewing and funeral services.  .
