Robert Flores, 81, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at The Meadows of Leipsic, Ohio. He was born in Fresno, California on August 26, 1941 to Esther (Valdez) and Jose Acosta. They both preceded him in death.
Robert married Heike Flores (Bens) on July 7, 1988 and she survives in Leipsic, Ohio.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Jessica (Gary) Warnimont, Alexa Newton, and Alana (Matt) Lenhart. Also surviving him are ten grandchildren, Michael (Nicole) Warnimont, Sierra, Makayla, Aleah, and Caden Newton, Kaya, Alyssia, Nadia, Luca, and Noah Lenhart, and one great-grandson, Xavier Warnimont. Robert is also survived by his siblings, Ramona Delgadillo, Josephine Flores, Ramiro Flores, and Delores Flores, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard Flores, Raul Flores, Rosi Flores, and Rachel Chavirra.
Robert was a first Sargent in the Army and retired in January 1985 after 24 years of service. He served in Vietnam from 1966-1972. He continued to serve in civil duty for the U.S. Army after he retired. Robert enjoyed spending time with family, his two dogs, and loved woodworking and gardening.
A celebration of life will be held in May.
