Rae Ann Boerger

Rae Ann Boerger, 76, died March 18, 2022, in Lima, Ohio.  She was born on March 21, 1945, in Bluffton, Ohio, to Alvin Ray and Margaret W. (Brogan) Johnson. 

On June 19, 1982 she married Ronald L. Boerger who survives in Columbus Grove, Ohio.

Rae Ann is also survived by three sons Dana (Chris) Spallinger, Alan Spallinger, and Tracy Spallinger.  Three daughters Rhonda (James) Knuckles, Tracy (Harold) Ballard, and Kim Miller. One sister Sharon (Larry) Pugsley, along with twenty-one grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Rae Ann was a graduate of Bluffton High School.  She worked 25-years with the Columbus Grove Schools as a custodian, where she was known as “Mom” and loved by everyone.  She was a “puppy sitter” and one of her customers made her a sign – “Rae Ann’s Puppy Motel” and that was her chief hobby.

A service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Columbus Grove, Ohio, with Pastor Keith Wilson presiding.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.
