Paul Francis Ricker, 88 passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023 at home surrounded by his family, holding his dog, Ranger and looking at his farm. Paul was born March 29, 1935 in Columbus Grove, Ohio to Edmund Matthew and Agnes Mary (Maag) Ricker who both preceded him in death. On February 14, 1961 he married Ruthann Alice Landwehr who survives in Columbus Grove.
Paul was a Cold War Veteran serving in the United States Army as a PFC from 1957-1959. He was a lifelong farmer and the owner of Ricker Trucking Company. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, Ohio.
In addition to his wife Ruthann, Paul is survived by their 10 sons: Bob (Chris) of Findlay, OH, Kenny (Lisa) of Chapman, KS, Gary (Linda) of Ottawa, OH, Danny (Angie) of Findlay, OH, Roger (Julie) of Columbus Grove, OH, James (Carolynn) of Carrolton OH, Tony (Rhea) of Beaverdam, OH, Steve of Junction City KS, Jeff (Mary) of Cloverdale, OH, and Dennis of Ottawa, OH.
Paul is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and his sister Marge Hoffman of Glandorf, OH in addition to his 2 beloved dogs, Ranger and George.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Ricker, sisters, Rose Buss and Leona Kemper and a granddaughter, Kelsie Ann Ricker.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25 from 2-4 and 6-8 and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, OH. Father David Ritchie will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
