Owen Robert Tudor

Owen Robert Tudor, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at The Meadows of Kalida, Ohio. He was born in Lima, Ohio on January 11, 1934 to Robert and Margaret (Bogart) Tudor. He married Jocelyn Hohenbrink on October 20, 1963 and she survives.

Owen is survived by his son, Robert Owen (Cathy) Tudor, Granddaughter Adelyn Marie Tudor, Step granddaughter Christina Ratliff (TJ), Step grandchildren Zackery, Myla, Maverick, Bella, and Liam. Owen is also survived by his brother in laws Donald (Karen) Hohenbrink, Roger (Teresa) Hohenbrink, and Sister in law Leah Hohenbrink, four nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Jane Ellen Firestone, brother in law Daniel Firestone and brother in law Robert Hohenbrink.

Owen graduated from Vaughnsville High School, attended Ohio State University and the Conservatory of Music in Chicago. He was a member of the Vaughnsville community Church and a 50-year member of The Masonic Lodge.

Owen was a lifetime farmer, dedicating his life to the land he loved. He had a passion for agriculture and, along with his father, in the raising of shorthorn cattle. Owen loved his life as a farmer and worked very hard. He loved classical music but the love of the farm was stronger. He loved to go coon hunting with his father, cousins and neighbors. He loved his home and family, especially his granddaughter Adelyn Marie.

Private family visitation will be at Hartman Sons Funeral Home on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10-11 am. Public visitation will follow from 11 am to 2 pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2 pm with Dr. Thomas Brown officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pike Run Cemetery in Gomer.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Owen’s name be made to The Vaughnsville Community Church and or The Vaughnsville Community Center.

The family will receive friends at a luncheon following the burial at Pike Run Cemetery at The Vaughnsville Community Center.
