Michael C. Fay, 68, died Monday, August 2, 2021, at his home in Cairo, Ohio.  He was born December 24, 1952, in Kenton, Ohio to John C. and Ruth H. (Coon) Fay.  They both preceded him in death.

On May 21, 1977, he married Linda M. Thomas.  She survives in Cairo.

Mike is also survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Andrea) Fay and James (Megan) Fay; his daughter, Mallory (Rich) Rakay; six grandchildren, Alyson, Carter, Cora, Abby, Lila and Stella.  He is survived by two sisters, Rita Nees and Jean Ann (Danny) Bradford; two sisters in-law, Dorothy Fay and Sue (John) Sarber along with nieces and nephews, John Mike, Kelly, Heather, Holly, Haley, Peter, Mark and Evan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John P. Fay and brothers in-law, Bob Nees and Bill Thomas.

Mike was a graduate of Elida High School. He was a mechanic that worked at Schwerman Trucking Co., Terra and retired from Roeder Cartage Co.

His greatest joy was his children and grandchildren.  He cherished time with family, summer vacations, and riding his Harley.  Mike was extremely handy and was the go-to person for many.

Services will begin at 11:00 am, on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate with burial to follow in Cairo Eastside Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association or Bridge Home Health and Hospice of Findlay.
