Mary Clara Fuerst

Columbus Grove, Ohio 

Mary Clara Fuerst, age 85, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at the Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.  She was born May 2, 1936, in Columbus Grove, the daughter of Amos A. and Teresa A. (Birkemeier) Fuerst, both of whom preceded her in death.

A graduate of Columbus Grove High School, she worked for the Philips Display Components Company, (formerly of Ottawa) from which she retired.

Mary is survived by her brother, Thomas Fuerst; sisters, Agnes Parker, Margaret (Bill) Weber, Norma Jean Lisota, and Irene Biederman; her sister in-law, Dorothy Fuerst along with many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Wilfred, Virgil and Joseph (Esther) Fuerst; sisters, Dorothy (Stephen) Diehl and Martha (Samuel) Davis and her sister in-law, Joyce Fuerst.

Funeral services will be at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, on Tuesday June 8, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., with Father Tony Fortman officiating, with burial to follow in St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Home Care and Hospice or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
