Martha A (Fuerst) Davis

Ottawa, Ohio

Martha A. Davis, age 83, died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at her home in Ottawa.  She was born June 15, 1937, in Columbus Grove, to the late Amos A. and Teresa (Birkemeier) Fuerst.

On April 3, 1961 she married Samuel A. Davis, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1995.

Martha is survived by her two sons, David A. (June) Davis and Pastor Charles F. (Susan) Davis; six grandsons, Connor Davis, Samuel Davis, Jakob (Miranda) Davis, Colin Davis, David and Scott Paulun; four granddaughters, Angela Davis, Theresa (James "Tripp") Stuckey, Jody Winland and Heidi (Mike) Pershing; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Fuerst and Thomas Fuerst; five sisters, Agnes Parker, Margaret (Bill) Weber, Norma Lisota, Mary Fuerst and Irene Biederman; her sister in law, Dorothy Fuerst; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Virgil and Wilfred Fuerst; her sister, Dorothy (Stephen) Diehl; and her sisters in-law, Esther and Joyce Fuerst.

Martha was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School.  She was a manager of a Storage Center in Orange County, CA, then managed Linkletter storage in Los Angeles County and back to Orange County before moving back to Ohio.  Martha enjoyed walking.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Charles Davis will officiate.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m until time of service at the funeral home.
