Mark E Pack, 56, of Columbus Grove died Monday, September 26 at 4:18 PM peacefully in his home, surrounded by family. He was born September 30, 1965 in Lima to Janet Sue Slechter and Don Edward Pack. He was raised by Herbert E Pack and Allene Pack of Vaughnsville who both proceeded him in death. On June 14, 1986 he married Sherry Snay, who survives in Columbus Grove.
Mark is also survived by 3 children: Jonathon (Karennina) Pack of Mechanicsburg, OH, Johanna (Kyle) Kimmel of Mechanicsburg, OH, and Alyssa (Thayer) Wallace of Portsmouth, OH; 10 grandchildren, Dmitri, Hailey, Nadia, and Lyla Pack, Lincoln, Brynn, and Juliette Kimmel, and Everleigh, Toren, and Ledger Wallace; and two sisters, Cherie Bryant and Kimberly Pack, both of Vinita, OK.
Mark worked for Advanced Drainage Systems for 36 years and attended Lima Baptist Temple for most of his life. He was an avid runner and was a part of the Dale’s Running Club. He has completed 1 marathon, 6 half marathons, and countless other 5k, 10k, and 15k races; his favorite of which was the Columbus Marathon. He loved spending time with his family and friends, going on cruises with his wife, and camping with his kids and grandkids.
Mark will always be remembered as the one to lend a helping hand. A selfless servant to the very end.
Visitation will be at Hartman Sons Funeral Home in Columbus Grove from 10:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, 2022 with Pastor Thayer Wallace presiding.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
