Marilyn A. Foust, 78, of Lima, and formerly from Vaughnsville, Ohio, passed away at her home, June 13, 2022. She was born May 1, 1944, the daughter of Irvin L. and Mary C. “Cay” (Smith) Blockberger. She married Earl Alan “Al” Foust, August 14, 1965. Al died April 4, 2021.
Marilyn attended and graduated from the Vaughnsville High School, class of 1962. She was a homemaker, along with being a church organist. She had played for the Ottawa River Church for 30 years, and substituted at many other local churches. She also worked for the Columbus Grove Telephone Co., from which she retired. She enjoyed working with and selling Tupperware products.
Surviving Marilyn are her sons, Duane A. Foust and David G. (Kelly) Foust; a granddaughter, Amber (Aaron) Cunningham; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Soloman, Zane Soloman, and Ty Cunningham.
Visitation for Marilyn will be held at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio, Friday, June 17, 2022, from 4:00 until 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation on Friday, June 17, 2022 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Walls will be officiating. A private burial will be held on a later date at Ottawa River Cemetery, Vaughnsville, Ohio.
The family is thankful for the services of St. Rita’s Medical Center and from their Hospice Unit. In lieu of flowers, Marilyn says, “Send flowers to someone you love and tell them you love them.”
Marilyn was unique. She will be missed. She was loved.
