Maria Irma (Romero) Madrigal

Maria Irma Madrigal, 80, died Saturday, May 15, 2021, at her son’s home in Ft. Wayne, IN.  She was born September 8, 1940, in San Carlos, TX, to the late Camilo and Tomasa (Morin) Romero.

On April 23, 1961, she married Bernardino R. Madrigal, Sr., who preceded her in death on March 18, 2007. 

Maria is survived by her children, Raul A. (Rocio) Madrigal, Bernardino R. Madrigal, Jr. and Roxana (Troy) Guthier; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and her siblings, Julian (Aida) Romero, Roberto (Maria Elena) Romero, Dolores (Eralio) Flores and Raul (Mary) Romero. 

Her brothers, Rafael Romero, Arturo Romero and Rodolfo Romero, preceded her in death. 

Maria was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, while living in Pandora.  After the death of her husband, she moved to Convoy and then to Ft. Wayne with her son.  Maria enjoyed her garden and plants and loved to shop. 

Mass of Christian burial will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Columbus Grove.  Father David Ritchie will officiate with burial to follow in St. Anthony Church Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 am-12:00 p.m. at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, with the Reciting of the Rosary prior to going to the Church.
