Lucas was a graduate of Wapakoneta High School, Class of 1998, and a current employee of Pepsi in Lima.  He was the Senior Service Commander of the Columbus Grove VFW Post 9648, and was a US Navy veteran.  His weekends were usually spent at Parsons Auto Service working and learning the trade.

The light of his life was being a father.  He loved his girls with all his being.  Providing for his family and others with a spirit of selflessness and love was his passion.  Lucas was an avid Buckeyes fan.  He was a car guy with a particular fondness for his Ford Excursion.  He loved dirt-track racing at Putnam International Trailway near Pandora.  Lucas was the kind of man that would do anything to help someone including giving them the shirt off his back.  Lucas was a family man.  He loved his girls with his heart and soul and loved his nieces and nephews as his own.
