Lonnie N. Slygh, age 64, passed away on September 17, 2022, at his home in Lima, Ohio. Lonnie was born on February 9, 1958, to Harold E. and Viola Christine (Williamson) Slygh, Sr., who preceded him in death. Lonnie married ViVesa Houston who died in 2012. He was a caregiver for Shirley Brown. He is survived by his longtime companion, April Slygh
He is survived by his son Kristopher (Jennifer) Slygh, his two daughters Jennifer Slygh and Brooklynne (Rodney) Slygh, three brothers Lenny Slygh, Wilbur Slygh, and Ray Slygh, and three sisters Sue Pothoff, Carolyn (Butch) Maag, and Mary Slygh. Lonnie is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers Harold Slygh Jr. and Paul-Mickie Slygh, and sister Virginia “Jenny” Miller.
Lonnie attended Ottawa schools, and was employed by Shell Gas Station. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Services will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, where friends may call from 1:00 pm to time of service at 2:00 pm. Pastor Rich Rakay will preside.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the family to help offset some of the cost of the services.
