Laura L. Hoyt

Laura Louise Hoyt, age 77, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.  She was born on September 29, 1945, to John and Denelda (Luke) Hamblin.  She married Charles Hoyt on June 15, 1963, in Lima, Ohio, and he survives.

Laura is also survived by her children Annette (Hartsel) Bryant, Cathy (Greg) Verhoff, and Jeff (Kathy) Hoyt; her grandchildren Amy Otto, Dan Otto, Shelby Otto, Natasha Verhoff, Tiffany (Brent) Hermiller, Danielle (Chris) Marshall, and Brad Hoyt; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lois Wallen.

Laura was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, and retired from Foodtown.  After moving to Ruskin, Florida, to enjoy their retirement, Chuck and Laura returned to the area to be closer to their kids and grandkids.  Laura was very crafty, and everyone who knew her has something special made by her to cherish.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Ottawa Eagles Back Hall on Friday, November 11th from 11-1 with lunch provided.  A private family burial will be held later.
