Jordan A. Vogt, age 18, died Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima. He was born April 9, 2003, in Lima, to Matthew W. and Lacy J. (Young) Vogt. His mother Lacy survives in Columbus Grove and his father Matt (Mary Sims) Vogt survives near Vaughnsville.
Jordan is survived by his brothers, Aidan & Matthias Vogt; sisters, Hailey, Abbigail and Miranda Vogt; grandparents, Lori (Tom) Young-Rue and John (Elizabeth) Young and Shirley (William) Mayberry; aunts, Kelly (Andrew) Morales, Courtney (Jesus) Villalobo, Sara (Matt) Downs, Catharine (Derek) Vandewalle, Carissa (Dan) Vogt, Amy (Jay) Banal and Sirena (Patrick) Vogt; along with several cousins and friends
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl Vogt and his great-grandparents.
Jordan was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 2021, where he had been 2020 Homecoming King and participated in wrestling and track. He was a member of the South Side Spartans Boxing Club, Lima. Jordan had worked at the Dairy Whip and Pizza 101 both of Columbus Grove and Pro-Tec Coating Company, Leipsic. He was member of the Free Christian Church of God, Continental.
He was passionate, loved hard and strived to make his friends and family laugh. Jordan loved picking on his brother and sisters. He was an avid player of Pokémon and eating mac & cheese.
Jordan was always the life of any gathering…it was impossible to not be happy when Jordan was near.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 4, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Jim Fry will officiate with burial to follow in Truro West Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2021, and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service on Monday at Hartman Sons Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Free Christian Church of God or Donor’s Choice.
