Joan C. Wagner, 87, died at 7:01 a.m., Monday April 19, 2021, at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born July 1, 1933, in Leipsic, to the late Clayton and Lillian ( Heckler) Cody.

On May 8, 1955, she married J. Richard "Dick" Wagner, who preceded her in death on February 3, 2005.

Joan is survived by her son, Steven (Mary) Wagner and her daughter, Pamela (John) Kissell both of Columbus Grove.  She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Kyle (Gina)Wagner, Cody Wagner, Logan Kissell and Megan Kissell; three great grandchildren, Braden, Colten and Caden Wagner; her brother Clayton Cody, Jr. of Lakeland, FL; a very close nephew, Mark (Cindy) Cody and special family friends, John and Janet Halker.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack (Katherine) Cody; one sister, Gloria (James) Emrick and one sister in-law, Marianne Cody.

Joan was a graduate of Malinta  High School, class of 1951.  She was a member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church and the Women's Fellowship of the Church, where she served on and was head of the Church dinner committee, for many years. 

She had worked and retired from Lugibill Florist and Greenhouse, formerly of Columbus Grove.  She enjoyed being a member of the Columbus Grove Garden Club.  Joan especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate with burial to follow in Truro Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Grove Christian Church or to the large print book fund at the Columbus Grove Library.
