Janet is survived by her two sons, Bill (Karen) Garberson and John Garberson; her daughter, Melinda (Jody) Cox; five grandchildren, Adam (Katy) Garberson and Ryan (Ashley) Garberson, Michael (Faith Butler) Cox, Marcus Cox and Maria Cox; seven great grandchildren, Corbin, Wyatt, Everett, Rylynn, Sawyer, Taylor Garberson and Braxton Cox; two brothers, Elvin (Becky) Baker and Robert (Connie) Baker; two sisters Carolyn "Katy" Schmidt and Joyce Brown and sister in-law, Lucille Baker of Lima.

Janet graduated from Lafayette Jackson High School, now Allen East High School. She had worked for Trim Trends, Spencerville from which she retired. Janet then worked several part time jobs, the last of which was with Wal-Mart in Lima.
She enjoyed sewing, crafts, collecting angels and she always had a huge garden. The garden did not go to waste, as she was a good cook and always enjoyed cooking!
Her biggest thrill was to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren coming across the yard for a visit. Janet really enjoyed spoiling her grandkids and spending time with family.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., when services will begin on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Jim Klausing will officiate with burial to follow in Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer.
