Janet E. Dunlap passed away at her home on May 29, 2021, at the age of 70. She was born April 8, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, to Ralph and Rosemary (Gasser) Kramer who preceded her in death. .
On July 6, 1974, she married Thomas L. Dunlap who survives in Columbus Grove. Also surviving are three daughters: Christina Dunlap, Dee (Eric) Dunn, and Brenda (Eric) Barnt. Two sisters: Marilyn (Ronnie) Hoffman and JoAnn (Roger) Schroeder; and five grandchildren; Dakota, Riley, and Peyton Dunn; and Devin and Jackson Barnt. Her sister-in-law Lora Kramer also survives. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Jim Kramer and John Kramer.
Janet was a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. She was a homemaker. She worked for the Delphos Herald and later the Putnam County Vidette. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Columbus Grove and the Alter Rosary Society of the Church. Janet was also a member of the Columbus Grove Boosters Club, and the Delphos Eagles.
Janet had three favorite daughters, and enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s sporting events very much, or any event or sports oriented activity in Columbus Grove. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting all sorts of items for the home, family, and friends. Janet greatly enjoyed the family vacation in Manitoulin Island, Canada.
Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, with Father David Ritchey presiding. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home. There will be an Alter Rosary Service at close of visitation.
The family suggests any memorial contributions be made to St. Anthony School Endowment Fund or to Putnam County Hospice.
