Jack W. Schindler

Jack W. Schindler, 73, of Ft. Jennings (formerly of Columbus Grove), passed away on April 9, 2022, at The Laurels of Defiance, Ohio.  He was the son of Carlyle and Ruth (Beamond) Schindler who preceded him in death.

On November 28, 1970, he married Jane E. Mikesell who passed away on February 13, 2005.

Jack is survived by son Jonathan (Amber) Schindler, daughters Jennifer Bush and Jaime Burns, brother Gerald P Schindler, and sisters Vicki Sue Wilkins and Doris Stephens.  He is also survived by grandchildren Zachrey Schindler, Aaron Bush, Shawn Burns, and Eliza Bush and great-grandson Clayton E. Schindler.  He was preceded in death by one sister Lisa A. Schindler

Jack was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1967.  He worked and retired from the Lima Ford Engine Plant.  Jack was a member of the Vaughnsville United Methodist Church.

Visitation for Jack will begin on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 6:00 – 8:00pm.  Services will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 11:00am at Hartman Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Brown presiding.  Burial to be at Ottawa River Cemetery with Military Rites provided.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or WBCL Radio 90.3.
