Gordon "Gordy" L Meyer

Gordon L. “Gordy” Meyer, 67, of Arlington (formerly of Vaughnsville, Ohio) passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at home with family.

He was born September 22, 1955 in Lima, Ohio to Leon L. “Skip” Meyer and Betty J. Fancher.

On September 21, 1979 he married the love of his life, Jacqueline L. “Jackie” Miller. Gordon was a 1973 graduate of Columbus Grove High School, where he and Jackie met 50 years ago. They raised their three children in the same Vaughnsville home he grew up in. Gordon retired in January from Teijin Automotive Technologies, formerly Continental Structural Plastics, Van Wert, Oh. He was also an avid family genealogist.

Gordon is survived by his wife Jacqueline Meyer of Arlington; his son Andrew (Christine Garbe) Meyer of Findlay; his daughters Kari (Derek) Stober of Wellington, CO, and Christa (Brian) Meader of Stockbridge, MI. A granddaughter, Harper Jean Meyer; and grandsons; Tristan and Charlie Stober. His brother Mike Meyer of Van Wert; brother-in-law Dean Miller of Columbus Grove; sisters-in-law Victoria (Ed) Cury of FL; Wendy (Mike) Gerken of Ada; and Jeanne (Jim) Morgan of CO. Nieces Mandy (Dan) Snyder (Audra & Claire) of Bluffton; and Amelia (Clay) Oberg of Fort Collins, CO; and nephews Haedon (Beth Branstiter) Meyer of Columbus; Brandon (Stacey Luckadoo) Meyer (Evelyn & Audrey) of Delphos; Anthony Kidd of FL; Todd (Cara) Cury (Caleb & Luke) of FL; Mike Miller of Findlay; John Miller of Columbus Grove; and Nick (Taylor) Miller of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his grandson Brock Gordon Leon Meader; father Leon Meyer; brother Steve Meyer; brother-in-law Bill Lemberger; father-in-law Paul “Smokey” Miller; and mother-in-law Rosie (Halker) Miller.

Visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2023 from 2-8 pm and 9-11 am on Saturday prior to the service. Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Mark Chow at 11 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home 10879 St. Rt. 12, Columbus Grove, OH.
