Evelyn L. Eversole

Evelyn L. Eversole, 99, died at 4:21 a.m., on February 3, 2021, at The Greens at The Lima Convalescent Home.  She was born July 23, 1921, in Columbus Grove, to George and Daisy (Fisher) Eversole.

Evelyn is survived by her nephews and nieces, Patricia Hochstetler, Terry (Cheryl) Eversole, Gary (Judy) Eversole, Arthur (Sallie) Eversole, Joanne Sweesy, Judy (Robert) Nemeth and Roxanne (John) Mackasy; 19 great nieces and nephews; numerous great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Leo Ann (Pete) Hochstetler; brothers, Hiram (Pauline) Eversole, Minor (Doris) Eversole and Willard "Bud" (Dorothy) Eversole; nephews, Clifford Eversole, Thomas Sweesy, Paul Hochstetler and Gene Eversole; and one great nephew, Gregory Sweesy.

Evelyn was a graduate of Columbus Grove High School, class of 1938.  After which she went to work at Colonial Finance Company, then Lima Locomotive Works and retiring after 52 years as Office Manager at Sealts Cleaning Company.  She was a member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church and a former member of the Columbus Grove Christian Church.

She was a member of the Town and Country Quilters, the Quilters Group of Forest Park United Methodist Church and a former member of the American Business Women's Association, Lima, where she was honored as the first "Women of the Year."  She loved to grow flowers and working in the garden.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at which time services will be held.  Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate with burial to follow in Campbell Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
