Eloise J. Miley

Dateline: Columbus Grove, Ohio

Eloise J. Miley, 90, died at her home near Columbus Grove on Saturday, May 21, 2022.  She was born December 24, 1931, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of Sherman and Beulah (Jenkins) Barber.  She is survived by her husband, Lester M. Miley.  They were married November 20, 1965.

Eloise attended and graduated from the Columbus Gove High School.  After graduation, she worked for the Western Southern Insurance Co., and also Prudential Insurance Co. both of Lima.  She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, her pets, and eating out with her family.

Preceding her in death were sisters Alice Rose Barber and husband Ralph Rayburn; Marlett Barber and husband Max Bassitt; and infant sister, Prudy Kay Barber, who died at birth.

Visitation at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, at which time funeral services will begin.  Chaplain Nathan Tucker will preside.  Burial will follow in Osborn Cemetery, west of Columbus Grove.
