Earl Alan "Al" Foust

Earl Alan "Al" Foust, 82, died at 6:00 am, April 4, 2021, at the Lima Convalescent Home.  He was born July 18, 1938, near Gomer, to Frank L. and Helen V. (Steirns) Foust.

On August 14, 1965, he married Marilyn A. Blockberger, at the Ottawa River Church.  She survives in Bath Township.

Al is also survived by two sons, Duane A. Foust of Findlay and David G. (Kelly) Foust of Harrod; one granddaughter, Amber (Aaron) Cunningham; three great grandsons, Brayden and Zane Solomon and Ty Cunningham; and one sister, Frances (Preston) Long of Gaylord, MI.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Alana Foust and his twin sisters, Betty Ann Robbins and Betty Jo Blymyer; one brother, Harold (Eileen) Foust and his step mother, Helen (Schafer) Foust.

Al was a 1956 graduate of Medaryville High School, Indiana.  He had retired in 1994 from Sprint, after 37 years of employment.  He had been a telephone contractor from 1994 until 2002.  Al was a member of the Cairo Christian Church; and a former member of the Lima Eagles Aerie #370 and the Elks BPOE #54.  He had enjoyed coaching the T-league in the Columbus Grove area and in later years, Al would enjoy a good match of Cornhole.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, April, 7, 2021, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove.  Services will follow at 6:00 pm, with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Ottawa River Cemetery, Rimer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Vaughnsville Community Church.
