Dorothy Jean Harter, 70, died Saturday, December 12, 2020, at her home in Dayton. She was born March 10, 1950, in Lima, to Delbert P. and Carolyn A. (Best) Harter. They both preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Dennis Lee Stockwell of Arizona and Jason Travis Stockwell of Ohio; grandchildren; her sisters, Carol Sue ("Mack" Dale) McPheron of Punta Gorda, FL, Linda Louise Mesecher of Jewell, IA and Arlene Mae Tottingham of Punta Gorda, FL and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers in-law, Ronald Mesecher and Stanley Tottingham.
Dorothy attended Bath High School. She enjoyed sewing and baking special birthday cakes for all the kids. Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Services will begin at 12:00 p.m., on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove. Pastor Rich Rakay will officiate with burial to follow in Cairo Eastside Cemetery.
The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
The family would like to especially give thanks to JoAnn for the care provided during her stay at Sonny's House in Dayton.
