Dirk M Heyneman

LIMA- Dirk M. Heyneman 49, passed away on March 2, 2024 at St. Rita’s Medical Center.  He was born April 27,1974 in Bluffton, Ohio to Allan L. and Rena D. (Carneal) Heyneman who preceded him in death.

Dirk is survived by 3 brothers:  John (Mary) Heyneman, Patrick (Marilyn) Heyneman and Brent (Ginger) Heyneman and a sister, Miriam Cottrell.  He is also survived by 4 nephews:  Brad (Jacey) Heyneman, Brock (Nicole) Heyneman, Grant (Lasca) Heyneman and Ben (Misti) Heyneman; 3 nieces:  Stacy (Boyd) Geedey, Brittany (Kory) McLaughlin and Erin (Matthew) Leeming. In addition, he is survived by 15 great nieces and nephews and 5 great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dirk was preceded in death by his brother-in law, Chris Cottrell, his niece Amber Heyneman and his nephew Jason Cottrell.

Dirk loved football, trains, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  He was also a music lover and enjoyed bands such as the Beach Boys.  He was known for giving hints for food that he wanted and was extremely stubborn!

Visitation will be on Monday, March 11, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hohman presiding.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Bluffton, Ohio.
