Dianne Lou Wilkin, 66, died at 3:59 p.m. on April 24, 2021, at James Cancer Hospital. She was born March 28, 1955 to A. Kenneth and Bonnie (John) Vandemark, who preceded her in death. On August 28, 1976, she married Todd Wilkin, Jr. who survives.
Dianne is also survived by her 4 children and 11 grandchildren: Jennifer (Todd) Belden, Clay Adlesh, Mason Adlesh, Grace and Jackson of Lima, OH; Master Sergeant Jason (Nicole) Wilkin, Zoey, Laken, and Caden of Tampa, FL; Jeffrey (Laura) Wilkin, Emerson and Kacy of Farmington, MI; and Jacob (Danielle) Wilkin, Eli and Grant of Findlay, OH. Also surviving are two brothers: John (Debbie) and Stan (Joanna) Vandemark; Mother-in-Law Janet Wilkin; Sisters-in-Law Christie (Danny) Sizemore and Kim (Scott) Malof; Brother-in-Law Chad (Sarah) Wilkin, along with many beloved nieces and nephews. Dianne was preceded in death by two brothers: Steve and Jeffrey; her Father-in-Law Todd Wilkin, Sr.; and Brother-in-Law Rodd Wilkin.
Dianne graduated Elida High School in 1973. She worked at several locations throughout her life including at First Federal Bank, Lima Chemical Plant, and INEOS - Barex, in addition to creating a loving home for her family.
Dianne will be remembered as a selfless mother and grandmother, always offering to babysit at the drop of a hat and finding ways to help out. She was a rock to all who loved her, offering words of advice and encouragement when needed. Dianne was a friendly face and expert pie maker. She loved to be outside riding her bike, taking walks with her grandchildren, and spending time at their lake house. She was community minded and spent a lot of time volunteering with the Village of Cairo and finding charitable ways to contribute and make an impact. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 29 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Pastor Jim Swihart presiding. Burial to follow at Gomer Pike Run Cemetery near Gomer, Ohio.
Friends may call on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
