D. Scharon (Owens) Ridinger

Pandora, Ohio

D. Scharon Ridinger, age 81, died at 3:15 p.m. on January 2, 2021, at Lima Memorial Hospital.  She was born July 5, 1939, in Allen County, to Woodrow Wilson and Mary Katheryn (Horman) Owens.  They both preceded her in death.

On October 26, 1957, she married Paul Louis Ridinger, who preceded her in death on December 22, 2015.

Scharon is survived by her son, Gregory (Dawn) Ridinger; her daughter, Charlene (Chris) Meyer; five grandchildren, Andrew (Stephany) Meyer, Zach (Erica) Meyer, Aubrey (Jason Philpot) Ridinger, Evelyn (Danny) Schaffer and Lydia (Tony) Meyer; six great grandchildren, Blake, Max, Haley, Jayla, Jemma and Lilly; and her sister, Deborah Chesser.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Ridinger; and her two sisters, Theresa Tadino and Phyllis Maloney.

Scharon was a graduate of Lima Senior High School, class of 1957.  She had worked for the Union Bank Company, Columbus Grove Schools as a bus driver and Nationwide Insurance.  Scharon and her husband, Paul, were very avid Pandora Rocket fans. 

Services will begin at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Pandora Missionary Church.  Pastor Matt Steiner will officiate with burial to follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m until time of the service at the Pandora Missionary Church.
