Carol Annie Meredith

Cairo, Ohio

Carol Annie Meredith, 74, died May 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 17, 1947, in Greensburg, Indiana, to Marlin W. and June L. (Genate) Mantooth.

Carol married Thomas L. Meredith on May 21, 1987, and they 35 years together.  Tom survives in Cairo, Ohio.

Carol is also survived by one son, Ron (Tammy) Fisher; one daughter, Kathy (Dave) Payne; two brothers, Mike (Troas) Mantooth and Kenneth Reninger. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Allison Fisher, Katelyn Fisher, Brittiney (Taj) Callahan, and Meredith Mangas, along with two great-grandchildren, Kai and Kenna Callahan.

Carol graduated from Bath High School. She worked for the D.T. & I Railroad for 20 years. She enjoyed going to car shows with Tom, collecting antiques, and watching the birds outside her window at the feeder. She was a member of the Cairo United Methodist Church. God took her home and she is now free of 30 years of pain and suffering.

Friends may call at Hartman Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 7:00pm-9:00pm. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Cairo United Methodist Church with Pastor Rich Rakay officiating. 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
