Agnes Cecilia Parker

Agnes Cecilia Parker, age 85, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at Otterbein Senior Living in Cridersville, Ohio.  She was born on June 12, 1938, to Amos A. and Teresa (Birkemeyer) Fuerst in Columbus Grove, Ohio, both of who preceded her in death. 

Agnes retired from St. Rita’s Medical Center as a Supervisor in the Housekeeping department after 33 years of service.  Agnes was a member of Fairmount Presbyterian Church in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Agnes loved people, bingo, casinos, and word search puzzles.  But, most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Agnes is survived by her children: Jerry L. Parker, G. Scott (Robin) Parker, Robin Russell, and Valerie (Dick) Bollenbacher along with six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Thomas; sisters, Margaret (Bill) Weber, Norma Jean Lisota, and Irene Biederman; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Fuerst, and many nieces and nephews. 

Preceding Agnes in death were brothers, Wilford, Virgil (Eloise) and Joseph (Esther) Fuerst; sisters, Dorothy (Stephen) Diehl, Martha (Samuel) Davis, and Mary Fuerst, and her sister-in-law, Joyce Fuerst.

Friends may call on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio, with funeral services immediately following at 6:00 pm. Pastor Chuck Davis, Agnes’ nephew, will officiate.  Burial services will be held at a later date.
