Agnes J, Krontz, 89, passed away December 23, 2022 at her home in Columbus Grove. She was born November 5, 1933 in Leipsic, Ohio to Amos and Florence (Haruff) Brecht who preceded her in death. Florence later married Monty Monath. On July 29,1951 Agnes married James F Krontz who passed away on June 7, 2001.
Agnes attended Leipsic Schools in Leipsic Ohio. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, crocheting and painting ceramic ware. Agnes also enjoyed cooking and was very good at it. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a neighborhood mom and grandmother to all. Agnes was straight forward with her truthful and honest opinions.
Agnes is survived by 2 daughters: Patty A. (Greg Mayberry) and Joan E. (Eric) Marks and 3 sons: Jack E. (Carrie-deceased), Rich A. Krontz and Ken J. (Maggie) Krontz. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Wyatt Mayberry, Zach Krontz, Nick Krontz, Jack Krontz Jr, Jessicca Stewart, Jeo Marks, Trenton Krontz, Trevor Krontz, Kacie Krontz, Tyler Krontz and Corey Krontz and 16 great grandchildren.
Agnes was preceded in death by her children: Gary Krontz, Gregg Krontz and Gale Lynn Krontz, 1 brother, 3 sisters: Ina Mae McClintock, Pat Cleaves and Cora Brecht. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Danielle VanAlst and a brother-in-law, Ralph Cleaves.
Services will be Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11 AM at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, Columbus Grove, Ohio with Pastor James Klausing presiding.
Visitation will be at Hartman Sons Funeral home on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5 to 8 PM and from 10 AM to time of services on Friday.
Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove following the service.
