Judith Jerwers Obituary

OTTAWA- Judith A. "Judy" Jerwers, age 81, peacefully passed away in her home surrounded by her family on March 12, 2024. Judy was born July 11, 1942 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Melvin and Reba (Deverick) Lusk, who preceded her in death. On November 25, 1961, she married Bernard “Barney” Jerwers who preceded her in death.

Judy is survived by her sons Michael (Patricia) Jerwers and Daniel (Tracy) Jerwers; her daughters Debra (Bart) Edwards and Christina (Dennis) Siefker. She is also survived by her grandchildren Amanda (Josh) Gray, Kristi (Tyson) Yungmann, Katie (Chris) Jenkins, Molly (Josh) Hammitt, Emily (Tate) Gardner, Kari (Doug) Kozlowski, Nikki (Jordan) Basinger, Tyler (Amber) Siefker, and Trevor (Taylor Alt) Siefker, and twelve (12) great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by her brothers William “Bill” Lusk and Larry Lusk.

Judy enjoyed gardening and crocheting, but her life revolved around her family. One of her favorite past times was watching her grandchildren play sports. Judy and Barney believed that family is everything, and it showed in how they lived their lives. Judy was also strong in her faith, and was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf, Ohio.

The Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday March 15, 2024 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Glandorf, Ohio with Father Matt Keller presiding. Burial will follow at St. John The Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
