Anne C. Schroeder

Anne C. Schroeder, 89, of Columbus Grove, died on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at The Meadows in Ottawa, OH.

She was born May 20, 1934 at home in Ottawa, Ohio to the late John H. and Frances (Eickholt) Fenbert. On August 22, 1956, she married Samuel N. Schroeder, who survives in Columbus Grove, OH.

Surviving are six children: Rose (Jeff) Ellerbrock of Glandorf, Cindy Salisbury (Brian Hornacek) of Findlay, Kay (Tom) Hunt of Mansfield, Brenda Schroeder (Chad Lazette) of Maumee, Dean (Carol Scott) Schroeder of Columbus Grove, and Jim (Lisa) Schroeder of Columbus Grove, as well as 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five siblings: Norma (Mark) Schroeder of Leipsic, John (Joyce) Fenbert of Leipsic, Janice (Norm) Witman of Harrisburg, PA, Leo (Mary Ann) Fenbert of Leipsic, and Sharon Morman of Ottawa, as well as brother-in-law Carl Maag of Leipsic. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Maag, and brother-in-law, Paul Morman.

Anne was a full-time housewife and mother, and later enjoyed being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Columbus Grove, OH and its Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the CLC, where she was a past officer for 25 years, as well as a member of the Legion Auxiliary, where she helped prepare meals for weddings and sporting banquets. In her free time, she also volunteered to help with mending at Hilty Home Senior Living Retirement Community in Pandora, OH.

Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at Hartman Sons Funeral Home, 10879 St. Rt 12, Columbus Grove, OH. Rosary at 4:45 pm Tuesday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Columbus Grove, OH. Father David Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Parish and/or school.
